Kathie began her journey with Michigan Works! in January when she attended a Resume Workshop and received assistance in filing her UIA claim. In March she was selected by UIA to attend a RESEA workshop at Michigan Works!, as a requirement of her unemployment filing. She attended the workshop and continued to work with Michigan Works! Career Navigators to find a full-time position. In July, Kathie continued to work on her job search and attended a mock interview workshop offered by the Michigan Works! staff. When she heard about an opening at Michigan Works!, she knew she had to try. In August, Kathie was hired by Michigan Works! to be a Career Navigator. She is now assisting other jobseekers and presenting the RESEA workshop to new UIA claimants!
