Maurine came to Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium because she was having some financial challenges, including getting to and from work and not having phone service. In addition to these disadvantages, Maurine was trying to maintain a household and keep a positive attitude that their situation would be temporary.
Michigan Works! was able to offer Maurine assistance with online job services and financial help to purchase her car tags, registration, and insurance. Thankful for the assistance received, Maurine says the MW! Staff was helpful and offered positive information with different strategies to maintain employment and she plans to try to budget for the unexpected in the future.
