Michigan Works! Tuition Assistance Helps Jonathan Hit the Road

Due to COVID, Jonathan became unemployed. He wanted to pursue a new career and came to Michigan Works!, seeking assistance to obtain his CDL A certification.

He began working with Michigan Works! Career Advisor Angie Morgan to get enrolled in the truck driving training at Road Warriors Truck Driving School.

Thanks to the tuition assistance he received from Michigan Works!, Jonathan obtained his CDL A certificate at the end of July and has now secured an over-the-road position with PVC Trucking.

Road Warriors’ trainer Tammy reported that Jonathan was one of the best students that they had ever worked with and that he was very interested in learning. Jonathan says he is grateful for the assistance Michigan Works! provided and is thankful Michigan Works! could help him make this career a reality.
