July 24-26—Youth Solutions’ Summer Summit is an annual statewide professional development conference designed to set the tone and approach for the Jobs for Michigan’s Graduate (JMG) program. This year’s them was “Building Champions: Empower, Inspire, Thrive - Together!", encapsulating their mission and vision for the future. The theme underscores our commitment to fostering a collaborative environment where professionals can empower each other, inspire growth, and thrive together in our collective efforts to support Michigan’s youth. Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium Youth Career Advisors attended the event, winning 5 awards for the region, including:
JMG Tech Trailblazers Award: This award recognizes those enthusiastic users of JMG’s innovative tools and resources with demonstrated positive impacts to their programming.
JAG National 6-of-6 Award per Affiliate. This award recognizes affiliates who have met or surpassed all of JAG’s six rigorous performance metrics dedicated to ensuring young people succeed in education and employment. Youth Solutions congratulates Ashley Udell on securing the JAG National 6-of-6 award, the most prestigious award given to JAG affiliate programs.

This award recognizes the individual program Specialists who have met or surpassed all of JAG’s six rigorous performance metrics dedicated to ensuring young people succeed in education and employment. Youth Solutions congratulated Jeanie Flory, Erin O’Rourke, and Seth Gruenberg on securing the JAG National 6-of-6 award, the most prestigious award given to JAG affiliate programs.

They also understand the critical need to get input from a variety of perspectives on any given topic. A range of opinions leads to a better outcome. Finally, leaders coach, mentor, advocate, and are trusted role models. Youth Solutions recognized Jeanie Flory for her amazing leadership skills.
Living Our Values - Solutions Focused. These words carry a strong message, and carries the Youth Solutions name in it. Working to find THE solutions that will work for THAT young person. Searching for opportunities to remove barriers and persist in addressing challenges and celebrating successes. The ultimate solution is graduating with a postsecondary plan and following a path to a family sustaining career.
